[edit] AquaStreak
FINAL (1/3/0); withdrawn by EVula 15:04, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
AquaStreak (talk · contribs) - Hello everyone! My name is Travis Combs. I have decided to run for adminship on Wikipedia after I felt I would be a positive candidate with a lot to contribute. I feel if I were an administrator on Wikipedia I could use the tools wisely to help control spam outbreaks, including vandalism. I feel that I am a strong candidate because I am responsible, trustworthy, and helpful.
A little bit about myself: I am 15 years old. I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. I will be a sophomore in high school next year. I am highly advanced, and am in honors classes. Last year in the ninth grade I received three college credits for business. I am very good at English, and do my very best to speak well and use correct grammar. I am very good with electronics. I run an iPod store (you'll have to ask me for the link, I don't want this to count against me as advertisement.) I spend a lot of time at Wikipedia and spend most of days on a computer.AquaStreak 14:11, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
I accept my nomination to become an administrator of Wikipedia. I understand to fulfill my duties and not use them for vandalism or take them for granted. I hereby solemnly agree with the rules and Terms of Service of Wikipedia. AquaStreak 14:38, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to continue doing what I have been attempting to take part in on Wikipedia. I intend to continue to control vandalism as well as fix typography and factual errors.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I'm most prodominately found editing the iPod article for clarity, facts, and typography errors. I also contributed an image on that very article that the Images to Improve lab cleaned up. I am always fixing errors found when browsing Wikipedia, and am always trying to help others. I try to keep advertisement to a minimum, and rewrite sentences to work around ads. And seeing as Wikipedia is my primary database for information, I come to Wikipedia quite frequently.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: To the honest best that I can recall, I do not believe I have had any major issues. When I first joined here, a few of my pages were deleted and considered unnecessary. While I may or may not have agreed with these decisions, I have followed their command not to recreate these pages, and since then I have devoted myself to only applying edits that are worthwhile and not any cause for deletion.

Oppose
- Oppose and recommend self-withdrawal, sorry. Your enthusiasm is most welcome, but you need more experience in all areas. See Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship.--Húsönd 14:40, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel this way, but I thank you for taking the time and for your consideration. I would agree I do not have the most experience on Wikipedia, but I would devote myself to making sure I do a job I got accepted to do. AquaStreak 14:45, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'd have to recommend that you withdrawal, too. You should probably follow the suggestions of Husond, as he is an admin, and an admin coach. Cool Bluetalk to me 14:47, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose - Recommend you withdrawal. Only 77 edits and absolutely no experience, and for the tasks listed, doesn't need the admin tools. Cool Bluetalk to me 14:46, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Vote of no confidence. Care to explain? – Chacor 14:49, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
