[edit] Airbus A350
FINAL (2/7/0); withdrawn by candidate 9 August, 2007
Airbus A350 (talk · contribs) - I am running for administrator because if I was I would greatly help Wikimedia by adding to and creating articles. I've been a member for over a year and hope to take place as an administrator and continue to help. I'd also be glad to help anyone who askes me to help them with an article. I can also do research and help create new articles with factual information. I have Intermediate experience with XHTML, HTML, JAVA, BASIC, and I am starting to learn C++. Please vote for me. [edit] Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I will take part in many projects to help Wikipedia grow. I am currently a member of five WikiProjects and I intend to work on even more. I love researcing, so I can also add to small articles and create new articles. I would also like to work on some of the preposed WikiSites that are in development. I will also help other users with problems and help them with article that they want to create or edit.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I think that my best contribution to Wikipedia was the Del Mar Middle School article which I spent weeks research finding information to summarise and place into the article. The reason I worked on the Del Mar Middle School Article is because it is a school very close to where I live.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: Yes there has. On one of the articles I editied, I was adding factual information and then the next day a user had replaced it with different information. I solved it by e-mailing him and solving the mess. In the future, if I become an administrator, I can help other users if they have problems of conflicts. I would try to help them as much as I could and if there was a bug I would research and find out what it was.

[edit] Discussion
- Are you Airbus A300 (talk · contribs) or Airbus 350 (talk · contribs)? The RFA says you're Airbus A300, while your user ID is Airbus 350. Should I check for winglets or something? --Elkman (Elkspeak) 22:27, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I believe its A350. Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 22:28, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- User:Airbus A300 has not been registered, it's A350. - Zeibura (Talk) 22:30, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Support
- Support. Trustworthy and a good user. Enough reason to support. Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 22:25, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just a note: Great to see other aviation people. You might like the WikiProject Aviation. Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 22:28, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Moral support, please withdraw. You should try editing for several months before submitting a request for admin tools.-Wafulz 22:27, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Oppose
- Oppose Inexperienced and too new. Almost all of the contributions (less than 50) are related to requesting adminship. Also, most of the information in the RFA is false. Miranda 22:26, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose, no mainspace edits, and none of the tasks listed in your answer to question 1 are admin tasks, anyone can create and edit articles, and I suggest you start doing so before applying for this position. Suggest withdrawal. - Zeibura (Talk) 22:29, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose I'm sorry, but I'm looking at your count, and I see a total of 20 edits. That is all, starting in June of this year. If you have recently changed usernames, I'd suggest that you provide a link to your past user name, as that information may be applicable. As it is now, it seems you have no mainspace edits, no participation in any areas, despite you saying you're a member of many projects. It seems to me that you are not familiar with Wikipedia at all. Again, my apologies if this is simply a new username of someone established, but nowhere do I see any indication that this is the case. I'd suggest you withdraw the request voluntarily, do a thorough review of policies, guidelines, and administration areas, get several months of mainspace editing in, and then reconsider. Reading through other RfAs that may not have passed can also be extremely helpful, so that would be another suggestion. I'm sorry, I just could not see a user with 20 edits having admin tools. Good luck to you! Ariel♥Gold 22:30, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose – (double edit conflict) sorry, but you've not got enough experience. Get in some solid work for the next five or six months at Administrator-related areas, such as XfDs (AfD, MfD, etc...), contribute reports at AIV and UAA, and keep up your WikiProject work, and you'll be in a much better position for me to think about supporting. Cheers, Anthøny 22:31, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose- and suggest withdrawal. There is no way we can evaluate you at this moments, as you don't even have 50 edits. You should get involved in deletion discussions, fight vandalism, make reports to WP:AIV and WP:UAA, create and fix articles and wait a few months before requesting adminship. Happy editing! --Boricuaeddie 22:31, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose You have very, very few edits, so we are not able to assess your command of wiki policy or wiki process. And the tasks which you say you want to accomlish do not need admin tools. I seriously urge withdrawal, with reapplication in a few months after making 2 or 3 thousand edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anthony.bradbury (talk • contribs)
- Oppose Lying on user page, lying on question 2. Not a good start, best to create a new account on a clean slate. T Rex | talk 22:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
