[edit] Common pets template
How about a template with all the common pets from here? I've written about a half by now. Michaelas10 17:31, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Template finished. Although I'm afraid the word common might be POV. I need more votes on the discussion before I will start adding it to articles. Michaelas10 (Talk) 15:36, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Bah! Be bold! Move it to main space and start using it. If someone is offended, they can edit it. --Dgies 07:29, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well yeah, unless this lowers the quality of the encyclopedia. Common still needs a better defining. Are there any official statistics for pets? Michaelas10 (Talk) 16:01, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Parallel computing
Since the articles on Parallel computing can use some strength from eachother, I'd like to see an article series box on the subject. I'm thinking of something like Template:IPstack, but aligned left, without the etc markers ("..."), the pipe character as seperator instead of the comma, and the individual field tags bold when not linkified.
Below is the structure I propose -- primary heading represents the caption, secondary headings represent fields, list entries represent individual elements.
[edit] Parallel computing
[edit] General
[edit] Theory
[edit] Elements
[edit] Coordination
[edit] Programming
[edit] Implementations - Hardware
- Computer cluster (Beowulf - Network/Cluster of Workstations)
- Symmetric multiprocessing (Non-Uniform Memory Access - Cache only memory architecture)
- Asymmetric multiprocessing
- Simultaneous multithreading
- Shared memory - Distributed memory
- Massively parallel processing
- Superscalar processing
- Vector processing
[edit] Implementations - Software
[edit] Problems
Note that I've specifically _not_ listed individual implementations -- that's something for the articles themselves. The box would just get clogged with little to no extra value.

- I'm intrigued. I'm wondering if a horizontal orientation for placement at the bottom of articles might make more sense? I think I'll work on this one later tonight... --Dgies 00:54, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- OK, how's this? --Dgies 04:50, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
