[edit] Usage

This template is used to highlight a need for a comics-related image in an article. The talk page WikiProject banner, {{Comicsproj}} does highlight a need for an image in an article. However, the talk page banner does not allow sub-categorisation, nor an ability to note what it is you require the image to illustrate. In situations where that may prove useful, Template:Reqimagecomics may be placed on the Talk (Discussion) page of the article.

Although it is possible to add just the template {{Reqimagecomics}} to a talk page it is strongly advised to add at least one category parameter, otherwise it will be lost in a large list and may not receive attention from subject specialists.

For example if a picture of Magneto is required then the following should be added to the talk page:- {{reqimagecomics|in=Marvel}}. This will categorise the page in Category:Wikipedia requested images-Marvel comics.

It is also useful to describe the image you desire, ensuring that it will comply with our [[WP:FUC|non-free content policy].

For example if a picture of a Magneto throwing a punch is required then the following should be added to the talk page:- {{reqimagecomics|Magneto punching a face}}.

The template employs several optional data field parameters as described below.

{{Reqimagecomics
|1=
|in=
}}
