[edit] False Information in 'Defenders Of The Realm' Section

"Reptile also appeared on the animated television show Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm where he lead an attack on earthrealm with other Zaterrans. He battled with Jax and dripped acid on the latter's mechanical arms breaking them and causing Jax to lose his confidence. Jax later defeated Reptile in Mortal Kombat thereby regaining his confidence. In the show Reptile bares an appearance similar to the Spider-Man villain Chameleon and the Harry Potter villain Voldemort."

This is actually not true at all, since the episode in question clearly states that he is the raptor's "new leader" and has a differnet name. The other main characters acknowldge this. Sonya refers to him as reptile, but only in the sense of calling him "a" reptile. Cannocally, the animated series follows the first movie, and in this animated series and epsiode, they acknowledge that the "real" Reptile was killed in that film.

This should be fixed.

[edit] Fast Forceball

Reptile was capable of using this move in MKSM.

[edit] Zaterra in Conquest

I am editing the TV series paragraph to reflect Zaterra. Contrary to what is posted, the name of the realm is mentioned repeatedly in Conquest, from Reptile's debut in TWISTED TRUTH throughout the allegiance of the Zaterrans with Kreeya in IN KOLD BLOOD. The episodes are available on the Net to confirm this. AtenRa 16:38, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] De Evolution Theory

The article says there is no proof of the fan idea he is deevolving, but in the krypt of one game you could unlock a picture with a form from every game titled Reptile's De-evolution.

  • I remember reading that the reason Reptile has devolved from his once human-like form to a full-blown dinosaur form is because he no longer resides in Zaterra with the rest of his Saurion race. Reptile is the only remaining member of this species, if you throw out Khameleon; therefore, he is "evolving" to another form. It is arguable whether or not Reptile is actually devolving or evolving (as both are forms of evolutionary adaptation). If people quit removing his different appearances, you'd be able to see for yourself. However, pertaining to devolution, I think if we could obtain a picture of this Krypt image, we can seal the verifiability of the situation. —№tǒŖïøŭş4lĭfė
    • I've seen that picture, but I remember it saying that the Zaterrans would simply lose their human form when away from their monarch, which - considering that the Zaterrans are apparently able to camouflage themselves, and the fact that each time Reptile removes his mask, we see a reptilian head, underneath - could very well indicate that this change is only superficial and not an actual de-evolution into a new form. 66.233.188.87 13:05, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
      • Since it's pretty much been established that Reptile and his race are NOT human, the only real reason why fans are so adamant that he's 'de-evolving' into a more reptilian form, is because he was originally introduced as a very human-looking ninja, and that's the look that stuck in most people's minds. So, sort of like the 'trukk not munky' argument of Transformers 'purists', some fans decry Reptile's more lizard-like appearance as 'devolving' to voice their disgust over the character moving away from what they grew up with.SynjoDeonecros 03:55, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Ok, I couldn't find the image but I went to a walkthrough and founf the name and krypt number. "Reptile de-evolution" in Krypt PF in MK: Deadly Alliance 24.91.155.84 23:22, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
    • A screenshot of the Krypt image could be uploaded, as long as it was a high quality image and if it's tagged properly to avoid copyright issues. A digital camera would work nicely in this situation, but I'm afraid I don't have one. —№tǒŖïøŭş4lĭfė
Right, and the fact that he is becoming more bestial not only in appearance but in personality as well has no bearing on this.... The S 05:09, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] POV Alert

Some guy keeps putting "Reptile is a POPULAR character" at the beggining of the page. I don't know about you but the popular part sounds like a fanboy opinion and we all know fanboy opinions are frowned upon here. Is it vandalism? I've reverted it 2 times. MightyKombat 15:05, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

"Vandalism is a POPULAR pasttime", especially on Wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.252.110.14 (talk) 06:09, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
