Might be a good idea to describe the 'repeat previous bar(s)' symbol here (the one that kindof looks like a % sign), or add a reference to a page describing it.

I requested this move as it is a more formal name for the sign, and will allow us to make repeat a disambiguation page with the content on the top and bottom of this page which isn't related to the sign. Rigadoun (talk) 18:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from repeat to repeat sign as the result of a move request. I haven't merged the two disambiguation pages together, although that could be done if desired. --Stemonitis 13:41, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Second endings on DS al coda

What is the "rule" for taking the second ending after a repeat on a DS al Coda? Do you repeat both times (first and second endings) or just take the second one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.109.129.226 (talk) 00:41, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I believe ordinarily the material is not repeated the second time, and only the second ending is used. Rigadoun (talk) 17:43, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
