Republic of Reuss

The People's Republic of Reuss was a short lived country in what is now Thuringia. This republic was formed when prince of the two lines of the monarchy of the House of Reuss abdicated. This left room for Communists to form the People's Republic. However, the Communists were defeated, and it entered the Weimar Republic as Thuringia in 1920.^{[citation needed]}
