Reportage (album)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Reportage is the provisional title of an album that the British band Duran Duran wrote and recorded as successor to their 2004 album Astronaut. Recording involved all five original members including Andy Taylor. By May 2006, the band had completed 14 tracks. The sessions for this album were produced by Michael Patterson [1] was rejected by their record label, partly due to the political content. [2] When the band decided to pursue a more dance-orientated direction after collaborating with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, Andy Taylor left the band. His lawyer has stated that he would injunct any attempt on the band's part to release the Reportage recordings. [3] Eventually the band went on to record an entirely new album titled Red Carpet Massacre, released November 19, 2007. Reportage was never released. No recordings are known to have leaked.
