[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello Renegade Zero, welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips:
- Take a look at the Simplified Ruleset.
- Read the Tutorial, How to edit a page and the Manual of Style.
- Create a User page.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Add yourself to the New user log.
- Ask questions at the Village pump or Help desk.
- Be bold!
- Use the Show preview button
- Provide an Edit summary.
If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.
If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 08:40, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image of Don Corneo and categorization
Hey, Renegade Zero! Thanks for all the work you've been putting into Final Fantasy VII-related pages. Just two things I wanted to ask: first of all, I was wondering if you might consider adding category tags to any new pages you add. There's a Category:Final Fantasy VII, and a couple of subcategories under that (like Category:Final Fantasy VII characters, for instance). By doing so, it's much easier to keep track of what we've got, and what needs to be added in the future. Also, I noticed that you uploaded a picture of Don Corneo at Image:Final Fantasy 7 - Don Corneo.gif. I'm kind of curious as to where the image came from: I've not seen it before, and there's not any copyright or attribution in its description. I've seen images deleted before because admins can't track down source information, so if you know anything, it might be worthwhile to edit the image page and say so. In any case, thanks for all the work you've been putting in recently! – Seancdaug 16:14, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
- Hey, no problem. You're doing substantially better than I and a lot of others did when when we first starting poking around Wikipedia. Just a tip, though: I've noticed that you've been signing your talk page entries, which is very commendable. But I wasn't sure if you knew about the standard wiki signature shortcut (four tildes in a row, ~~~~). It might make things easier for you. On the other hand, if you did know about it, and just chose not to use it, then ignore everything I've just said :-) Thanks for the prompt response, and welcome to Wikipedia! – Seancdaug 19:08, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Neomidgar.jpg)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Neomidgar.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Telso 05:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Lastorder.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Lastorder.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see User talk:Carnildo/images. 13:03, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Ff9-moogle1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Ff9-moogle1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:27, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Vincefps.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Vincefps.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:38, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
