Talk:Renaissance magic

just a scratchpad so far; could be extended into a full-length article. Should maybe be extended to include Baroque, a full 150 years that at present fall between the cracks in the main article. dab (𒁳) 09:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Good start. Word of warning, though. The Renaissance isn't the Baroque. There were important development in the theory of magic during the Renaissance that have distinctly Renaissance characteristics such as the rediscovery of Pagan antiquity and Humanism.
I know: that's why I am saying the scope should either be expanded, or, ideally, a separate article on the Baroque period should be created. dab (𒁳) 18:36, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
