Renwick is a city in Humboldt County, Iowa, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 306.

Renwick is located at 42°49′42″N, 93°58′42″W (42.828341, -93.978284)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 306 people, 135 households, and 76 families residing in the city. The population density was 308.4 people per square mile (119.3/km²). There were 150 housing units at an average density of 151.2/sq mi (58.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.35% White, 0.33% Asian, and 0.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.33% of the population.

There were 135 households out of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% were married couples living together, 2.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 43.0% were non-families. 37.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the city the population was spread out with 23.9% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 19.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 102.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.6 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $33,333, and the median income for a family was $38,750. Males had a median income of $27,344 versus $18,333 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,609. About 5.8% of families and 7.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.3% of those under the age of eighteen and 10.2% of those sixty five or over.

Renwick is the former home city of the Boone Valley school system. Donkey Daze is Renwick's town festival held every year during the first Saturday in june and features a four court volleyball tournament. Team from around North Central Iowa have participated in past years. Renwick is also the home to the Bobcat Football Challenge, a weekly contest held through the fall and winter months during college and professional football season.
