Renko

Renko is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the Tavastia Proper region. The municipality has a population of 2,338 (2003) and covers an area of 290.29 km² of which 11.81 km² is water. The population density is 8.4 inhabitants per km².

The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has previously also been known as "Rengo" in Swedish documents, but is today referred to as "Renko" also in Swedish.[1]

Renko is also an old Japanese charting styles used by rich rice merchants to track price trends down on paper for their crops. The name comes from Renga, which means "brick". Full information can be found at MarketTide.com
