Renegadepress is Canadian television series production by Saskatchewan’s Vérité Films Robert de Lint and executive producer Virginia Thompson running since 2004. The show is daily broadcasted on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). The series deals with teenage topics including relationships, sex and drugs.

The storyline is based around the lives of a group of teenagers, running an e-zine, in which they write based around their daily experiences. The main characters are Zoey (an average upper middle-class girl, who thinks of herself as a bit of a nerd) and Jack (an average upper middle-class boy of First Nations and Portuguese origin).

The show is currently in its fourth season after a long break. Every season, two to three new main characters are introduced, who join in writing the e-zine. These characters are usually added to explore the new areas of teen life and problems. Minor characters (who last only one to two episodes) are used to expose a problem in the society of teenagers, which the main characters either help out with or deal with in other ways.

Other recurring characters (in all three of the seasons) are:

  • Oscar (A bisexual friend of Jack's and Sandi's)
  • Crystal (younger sister of Jack, who deals with a friend who's addicted to [meth])
  • Patti (Oscar's ex-girlfriend)
  • Sandi(an American-Indian, a bit of a goof who messes up a lot, usually getting in trouble with his parents)
