[edit] History
Render Plus was the original developer for the ARRIS CAD System. Originally Developed in 1979 as "SigmaGraphics by Sigma Design, Ltd.", ARRIS was the first micro-processor based CAD System. ARRIS is still used by Architects who prefer a very powerful 2D and 3D CAD system.
In 1987, Render Plus, (then called ARITEK), branched off and developed add-on applications for ARRIS CAD. After developing more than 20 add-on applications, Render Plus started developing stand-alone applications, which did not require an underlying CAD system (such as ARRIS or AutoCAD).
These CAD applications included Giza, for Office Furniture layout, and other landscaping and home-building applications sold by Planix (a division of Softdesk), and Eagle Point.
