Renato Soares de Oliveira Augusto, or simply Renato Augusto (born February 1, 1988 in Rio de Janeiro), is a Brazilian Attacking Midfielder. He currently plays for Flamengo. He has been linked to some of Europe's big clubs such as A.C. Milan, Manchester United, Sevilla, Arsenal Liverpool, Bolton, Wigan and Leeds United.
[edit] Style of Play
Renato's style of play has been compared to that of FC Barcelona legend Rivaldo and A.C. Milan ace Kaká, due to his occasional dribbling efforts. Since going up to the first team, he has blossomed quickly, assisting team-mates on a regular basis and becoming one of the team leaders in the midfield. He has been closely linked with a summer move to either Manchester United or Liverpool, while Middlesbrough scout Gordon McQueen is currently in Brazil to watch his progress, with a view to signing the player.
