The school Website states: The study method developed by L. Ron Hubbard is the key to effective learning. Mr. Hubbard discovered that there are three barriers to study. These barriers, if not detected, will leave a student blank, not understanding, not interested, bored, confused or exasperated with the subject. For example, have you ever gotten to the end of a page of something you are studying and realized that you have no idea what you just read? Have you ever felt like you just want to throw the book or shred it and put it in the trash can? Students feel this way frequently because they are not familiar with the barriers to study. There are only three; not having the mass of the subject, jumping to a higher gradient when one has not fully understod the prior gradient, and the undefined or mis-defined word. Students at Renaissance Academy learn to spot these barriers when they arise and exactly how to handle each one. It is a very easy to learn technology and yet the one thing that will make or break an education. Applying this study method ensures that students really understand the material they have studied. Instead of just memorizing facts or being able to recite back salient points, the students at Renaissance can put what they have learned into action in their lives.

The curriculum of the school is based of Music and Performing Arts giving classical education for middle and high school students. Students, from this experience are enabled to synthesize arts, humanities and technology.
