René Lima is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on January 3, 1985, in the city of Vicente López in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for River Plate of the Primera Division Argentina.

He made his debut on November 23, 2003 in a 1-0 defeat by Chacarita Juniors.

Lima was transferred on a loaned to Maccabi Haifa on January 23, 2008 until the end of the season, with an option for Maccabi Haifa to sign him for the next season.
