René Bauwens (March 11, 1894 – 1959) was a Belgian water polo player who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics.
In 1920 he was part of the Belgian team, which was able to win the silver medal.
Eight years later he was a member of the Belgian team in the 1928 tournament. He played both matches and scored two goals.
