Matthew Stephen Rodgers (born July 20, 1983) is a Northern Irish drummer and singer-songwriter from Belfast, United Kingdom.

Rodgers was born to to Stephen and Grace Rodgers, atRoyal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and attended Braniel Primary School and then RBAI where he met with the other founding members of Remedi, a five-piece pop group. Remedi later went onto release a CD single around Belfast and Dublin. In 2002, Rodgers moved to Leeds, West Yorkshire to attend Leeds College of Music where he took a 3 year Degree course in Music Production. During this time he formed a band named Havana who played various gigs around Leeds. After university Rodgers returned to Belfast where he concentrated on his solo musical career, playing small gigs as a singer/songwriter accompanied by cello. Towards the end of his time in Belfast, Rodgers met with old friends and joined their band, Bunkbed, as a drummer. Around the same time, Rodgers was invited to move to London, England. Upon doing so, Rodgers soon took a job with The Guardian newspaper and joined a band named Ambassadors of Morroco.
