You're right. Bothered me too. He was called "Strumpf-Deutscher". I will have to check this, perhaps the French word "schtroumpf" already meant something at the time. But the sources do mention his shortness at the same time. Did "strumpf"-"schtroumpf" mean "second class"? While I check for an explanation, I will change into the German version, to make sure we are not talking rubbish here.--Pan Gerwazy 12:07, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Strumpf-Deutscher makes more sense than Schlümpfe-Deutscher indeed. --moyogo 16:09, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
