[edit] Aerosmith infobox
Since this is turning into an edit war, I'll cut this off and open discussion. A recent edit says, "If it's a major single, it gets an infobox," but this isn't always the case. A lot of it also has to do both with aesthetics and how encyclopaedic it is. An infobox, after all, is a tool meant to aid the reader and present information in a different format. While Aerosmith's version did achieve minor success, this infobox is really not aiding in much, and furthermore it is simply causing unnecessary page stretching for little purpose. If every major single got an infobox, as you say, certain pages would be horribly out of whack - consider cases like, for example, Everlasting Love or Unchained Melody or Eleanor Rigby, where multiple versions have been released as major singles. Would it really be practical to list every one? Should Louise Goffin also have an infobox on this page? I would love to reach some sort of consensus on this. GassyGuy 07:52, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
