Remstar Corporation

Remstar is a Canadian entertainment company based in Montreal, Quebec. The company was founded in 1998 by brothers Julien and Maxime Rémillard.
Through its divisions Remstar Productions and Remstar Distribution, the company produces and distributes film and television series throughout Canada and around the world. The company also owns its own music label, Remstar Interaction.
In early 2008, the company also put in a takeover offer for TQS, a French language television network in Quebec which filed for bankruptcy in 2007. As part of the deal, Remstar will also acquire TQS' five owned and operated stations.[1]
Remstar announced on April 23, 2008 that 270 jobs will be cut at TQS, while the information services division will be abolished entirely — thus eliminating all newscasts from the network starting in September 2008. [2]
