Remembrance are a funeral doom metal band from France, Lille. Although they call themselves a funeral doom/death act they have demonstrated no real structure of death metal. Both the members: Matthieu and Carline are from the band Lethian Dreams and the two came together in June 2004 with "the obsession of creating depressive and dark music". Almost a year after formation in March 2005 the band released a demo CD named Among Lost Illusions which they have doved as a promo format release. Record label TotalRust Music approached the band one month after the demo's release presenting a contract for the album to be produced, immediately after signing they went to work on their debut album, Frail Visions which was finished by July that year and brought into production in September. Remembrance have also contributed to a compilation release through TotalRust Music entitled Asymmetry. Months after the release of the new album they decided not to add anyone else to their line-up and decided to do whatever else was needed themselves, just like they always had. The band do not tour often but have toured on several occasions around their city and other places around the country.
