Relocker

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A relocker is one of various mechanisms intended to keep a safe or vault locked in a burglary attempt. It is activated by common burglary methods.

There are two basic classes of relockers:

  • Relock trigger (RLT) (a.k.a. "internal relocker"), which is built into the primary lock.
  • Relocking device (RLD) (a.k.a. "external relocker"), which is a completely separate mechanism installed in the safe.
