Release to web
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Release to web is a term used in software development; an Internet service or client has been released to web (frequently abbreviated RTW) when its code base is deemed complete, typically after a beta test. The service is then mass distributed over the Internet for public consumption.
Common synonyms include gone gold, gold master, gold release, or gold build. Similarly, release to manufacturing (RTM) is when software has been released publicly.
