[edit] Early life and career
The performer began in the music industry as a pre-teen. She was a backup singer for such music artists as Deborah Cox and Corina, became an overnight sensation[citation needed] on the Dance/Club scene when "Find Another Woman" reached #2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1998.
In 2004, she scored her biggest hit on the Billboard Dance Top 40, when "If I Close My Eyes" went top 5, and in 2005 scored another top 10 on the same chart with "Forgive". Both tracks were from her debut album "This Is Reina". In Spring 2008, Reina returned with the song, "Like A Star."
