Reign Supreme was to be the debut album of R&B girl group Tha' Rayne. ^[10] Simply titled Tha' Rayne originally, the album had a scheduled release date in 2002, after releasing their debut single, "Rock Wit' Me".^[1] However, due to Antonio "L.A." Reid leaving Arista in early 2004 and the label folding soon after, the group was dropped and the album went unreleased. ^[9]

The first sampler to be released by Arista to promote the album when it was going to be released in July 2003 as a self-titled album. However, the day previous to the release of the promo sampler, DJ Myche Luv departed from the group, forcing the label to delay the release date of the album to August and find a new replacement for the group. ^[1]

Released in August 2003 to conincide with the release of their first official single, "Didn't You Know" and to promote the scheduled September album release date. The mixtape sampler was hosted by DJ Absolut, and is the only known release of any version of "Holla Back" to the public.
