Reidar Aulie

Reidar Aulie (born 13th March 1904, died 1977) was a Norwegian artist. In the 1930s he was an artist for the Socialist movement. He also became known for the art produced during the War. This continued until the 9th April 1940, when he was arrested for these pictures, and sent to Grini. In 1950 he painted the freize of "Arbeiderbevegelsens historie" in Oslo City Hall. From 1958 he was professor, and rector from 1965 at Statens kunstakademi.
