Reid studied at Brigham Young University in Theatre. He lived in New York City and worked for Benton & Bowles Advertising. He has also worked as a newspaper reporter, covering the crime beat and city government, for Media General. [1]

Baer has had more than 200 poems published individually, as well as a collection of poetry called “The Man from Four Quarters”, [2]which has been endorsed by Dr. Robert L. Moore, John Lee. [3] Malidoma Some, and Coleman Barks. His first published book was Kill the Story.[4]

He is currently the editor of New Warrior Journal, a members-only online magazine for The Mankind Project. He also publishes interviews of celebrities at the publicly-available online ezine menstuff. Baer has interviewed many famous people at menstuff, including Jim Belushi, Senator John McCain, John Bradshaw, QB Terry Bradshaw, and Robert Bly. [5]

  • Baer won a national playwrighting award from Eastern Illinois University for “A Lyon’s Tale", which has had staged productions in New York, Utah, Illinois and California.
  • Reid was selected as Editor's Pick of the Week on YouTube on April 4th, 2007.[6]

He was born on November 21, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has lived in Indiana, New York, California, Idaho, Ohio, and Venezuela. He currently resides in Reidsville, North Carolina. Baer has been married to wife Patricia for eight years, and he has three grown children.
