Regius Professor

Regius Professorships are "Royal" Professorships at the universities of St Andrews, Oxford, Cambridge, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Dublin. The chairs were created by a monarch, and each appointment save those at Dublin is approved by the Crown.
