The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is a regional district in the Canadian province of British Columbia, Canada. As of the 2006 census, the population was 55,485. The area is 27,560.48 square kilometres (10,641.16 sq mi). The seat is in Cranbrook. Other important population centers include the cities of Kimberley and Fernie, and the district municipality of Invermere.
