Reginald Lindsay Fisher was the second Bishop of St Germans [1] in the modern era. He was born on 6 April 1918 and educated in Clapham before entering the Society of Saint Francis in 1924. Ordained in 1954[2] after a period of study at Westcott House, Cambridge he worked initially with the Student Christian Movement and was then successively Guardian of Alnmouth Friary, Minister of the Anglican Franciscans[3], General Secretary of the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel and finally a Suffragan Bishop [4]. For a brief period he assumed the duties of Bishop of Truro when Graham Leonard was translated to London. He retired in 1985, serving subsequently as Minister General of his monastic order. His latter years were dogged by recurrent TB and he died on 5 December 2003.
