Regina Coeli Academy, also known as simply Regina Coeli or by the acronym RCA, is an online Catholic homeschooling-oriented school. It serves students in junior high and high school through audio, text, and other online media.

The school was founded in 1995 by Linda Robinson, Allen Taylor, and David Manley, of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a mission of the Institute for Study of the Liberal Arts and Sciences (ISLAS), a non profit corporation dedicated to the development of internet programs for home educators and small schools.

Its stated mission is to "support, but not to supplant, the homeschool parent as primary educator by providing a rigorous college preparatory and classical homeschool curriculum which challenges the intellect and nourishes the spirit with the riches of the Catholic tradition. Our homeschool curriculum contains both live interactive courses as well as self-directed study courses hence allowing structure but also flexibility as sometimes needed for the homeschool student." The school's high school curriculum includes:
- A four year Humanities program
- Language courses in Greek, Latin and French
- Courses in mathematics from Algebra through Calculus and Geometry
- Science courses in Physical Science and Biology, with Physics and Chemistry in development
The school also operates a program called the Agnus Dei Junior Program, which covers a basic junior-high curriculum.
RCA graduates have been accepted to various acclaimed schools around the United States, including Franciscan University of Steubenville, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Notre Dame University, Thomas Aquinas College, and West Point Military Academy, University of Dallas [2], [Christendom College][3].
[edit] Hereditas Magazine
Regina Coeli publishes a Catholic literary magazine titled "Hereditas". It was started on September 11th, 2004, and publishes submissions from RCA students, faculty parents, as well other outside the school, such as clergy, essayists and novelists. Submissions range from scholarly essays, to humorous works, film and book reviews, and Latin poetry. The magazine is published quarterly.
[edit] Miscellany & traditions
The school received the Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II.
At the closing of each quarter a "mostly dead" week is held, during which no classes meet, for the purpous of preparation for quarterly exams. This is a reference to the movie Princess Bride, a personal favorite of the founder and principal.
Students are awarded twinkie points rather than brownie points, because "chocolate is a scarce commodity".
Because of the wide dispertion of faculty and students, numerous gatherings have been orchestrated. A recent one took place in Washington DC at the March for Life.
