The Regiment Liberation - 5th of the Line is an infantry regiment in the Land Component of the Belgian Armed Forces. The regiment is a part of the 1st Brigade.
The regiment was formed in 1992 through the amalgamation of the Liberation Regiment and the 5th Line Infantry regiment in Leopoldsburg. Since then it has been deployed overseas on several occasions, most notably to Yugoslavia under the aegis of both NATO and the United Nations.
