Reggae music has played a unifying role amongst cultural groups in Cape Town. During the years of Apartheid the music bonded students, and music lovers from all demographic groups.

The Reggae music of Bob Marley and the Wailers connected people who the Apartheid state was trying to separate. Songs such as 'One Love' and 'Africa Unite' created those bonds.

The Marcus Garvey Rasta Camp in Phillipi was started in 1990 by 36 Brethrens due to their love for Rastafari it was known as the Jungle and now it has grown to 500 + community members.

In the early days of the movement it was always tough to mix up with the society hence rastaman had to create his own holy habitation but babylon never got tired they come unto InI lands and talked about development and it was when they buldoze the houses in the jungle and squeezed InI land.

This was done under the banner of development and untill today the houses they started building have never been finished and they buldozed InI Tanarnacle twice but this has'nt stop InI from serving the iver living light of this world Haile Selassie I the Fisrt.

When InI brethrens started to advance in communication conecting with our beloved brethrens in diaspora the community started to Grow ever since then it has attracted visitors from all over the Globe England, America , Jamaica, Ethiopia, etc.

The visit of Congo Watu in 1996 was a pinnacle for InI as he did deliver the light of the Nyahbhingi Order Theoccracy Reign and established the first InI I-banarcle in the South. Since then more and more Rastafari Patriachs started pouring in from different parts of the world.
