Regan Cameron

Regan Cameron was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Inspired by Alex Webb, Irving Penn and the luminary Henri Cartier-Bresson, Regan found his first job assisting a local fashion photographer, which then inspired him to pursue a career in fashion and beauty photography.

Moving to London in 1991, Regan began working with British Elle and Italian Marie Claire. His work soon caught the eye of British Vogue, and a career was born. After seven years of working in London, Regan relocated to New York, where his career has gone from strength to strength. He is a frequent editorial photography contributor to British Vogue and Allure.

Regan Cameron is notable for shooting his first British Vogue cover at 25 years old [1]. His beauty style is typically backlit with soft skin tones. Great attention is paid to hair and makeup and clothing styling with the models.

Regan had the honorable privilege of being requested by the Royal Family of Denmark to photograph Princess Mary for Vogue. His strong ties with clients keep him traveling to some of the most beautiful locations worldwide. He also just photographed Elle Macpherson Intimates evocative and leading-edge advertising campaign in New York[2]. Regan’s most recent campaigns (2006) include: The Gap campaign with Madonna and Missy Elliott, Estee Lauder with Ashley Judd the SKII campaign with Cate Blanchett and Shalimar for Guerlain Paris.

Currently residing in New York City with his wife and two children, he has just completed work on a new state of the art studio with a complete digital imaging and capture facility. He still considers New Zealand to be home and makes a conscious effort to visit every year, returning to New York each time with a burst of renewed energy and inspiration.
