- R300 - The Kuils River Parkway and Cape Flats Freeway, links the N1 freeway with the N2 freeway in the eastern Cape Town Metropole and forms an imcomplete bypass freeway.
- R27 - West Coast Highway, a high-speed two-lane highway links Cape Town with the west coast towns of Saldanha, Vredenburg and Velddrif. There is a gap in the R27 and the road recommences at Vredendal and continues to the Northern Cape border continuing to Upington.
- R44 - A two-lane highway linking Porterville in the north with Wellington, Stellenbosch, becoming a dual-carriageway to Somerset West and Strand, continuing south along False Bay forming the scenic ocean route to Pringle Bay and Hermanus and finally terminating at Gansbaai. Plans are afoot to extend the route to L'Agulhas.
- R45 - A two-lane highway linking Vredenburg in the north with Malmesbury and southward to Paarl, Franschhoek and finally Villiersdorp.
- R43 - A two-lane highway linking Ceres in the north, with Worcester, Villiersdorp and the N2, terminating near Hermanus at the R44 in the south.
- R46 - A two-lane highway linking Touws River in the east with Ceres, Wolseley and Tubagh, terminating at the R45 near Malmesbury in the west.
- R60 - A high-speed two-lane highway linking the N1 at Worcester in the west with Robertson and Ashton with the N2 at Swellendam in the east.
- R62 - A two-lane highway linking Ashton and Montagu in the west with Barrydale, Ladismith, Carlitzdorp and Oudtshoorn in the east. Turning slightly southward, then linking to Uniondale and via the Langkloof Valley to Humansdorp in the east across the Eastern Cape border.
