[edit] No questions today

This is truly our darkest hour... — Kieff | Talk 03:51, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Why were there no questions on the 8th? And, that being the case, why is this truly our darkest hour? Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro 17:06, 11 September 2007 (UTC))
Well Joseph, now that you have asked two questions it seems that this date is not so dark after all!  :-) - hydnjo talk 20:32, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, dark enough, from where I sit.
When there are no discussions on a date, there's nothing for the archiving bot to archive, so the relevant archive page doesn't get created. (Which isn't such a big deal, except that it breaks the chain of yesterday/tomorrow links through the archive pages.) But then when you guys go back and add content like this, after the bot would have archived, it gets confused, and starts spitting error messages at me, and can't keep the days pruned properly... :-(
(No, don't worry, I'm not blaming you. Actually I think it would have run into just about as much trouble even if we hadn't added any real content here, because of the lone = September 8 = header that got left behind when nothing got archived.)
Clearly I've got to make the bot a notch smarter, at some point... --Steve Summit (talk) 02:43, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
