[edit] "The Closer" on TNT

Why does the Chief Pope character on the closer sometimes wear a uniform and sometimes a suit? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.35.99.104 (talk) 00:56, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

You might have better luck with your browser than I did at the TNT site[1]. Julia Rossi (talk) 06:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Music Video Actress

who is the girl in the "If you could only see" video by tonic?170.140.183.4 (talk) 02:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

You may be referring to Anna Paquin as Rogue in the film X-Men. --Gwguffey (talk) 14:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
But if you mean the original video, that was definitely not Anna Paquin. Adam Bishop (talk) 08:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Yup, need a clarification of which version you are inquiring about. Additionally, you might want to take a look at the archives of alt.music.tonic or the tonic yahoo group to try and find fans of the band who would have info and/or good memories. --Gwguffey (talk) 02:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pinball

Who has the largest collection of Woodrail Pinball Machines in the United States? 1noplay —Preceding unsigned comment added by 1noplay (talk • contribs) 04:17, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Check out Pinball Hall of Fame for the largest collection of publicly playable machines. This may help get you closer to your answer. ---Gwguffey (talk) 14:27, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Howard Stern pranks

Why is there apparently an entire subculture of people making Howard Stern themed (sometimes obscene) prank calls to radio and TV stations?[2][3][4][5] What’s the “in joke”? (There’s no way in creation that I’m ever going to listen to Howard Stern so I figure Wikipedia is the only place I’ll ever figure this out.) --B.Boylan (talk) 06:39, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

In the hopes that the clip will be aired on Stern's show and the prankster can get praise from his buddies. The most popular prank is to work into the conversation Stern's producer's nickname. Gary Dell'Abate would be the guy and his nickname is Baba Booey. Stern often plays the clips on his show, especially if the person being pranked tries to continue the conversation, oblivious to the fact that they're being pranked. (I can't hear/see the clips that you linked to right now, so I'm sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious) Dismas|(talk) 06:48, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Having just read the page I referenced, I'd suggest having a look. It goes over the prank calls a bit as well as where Dell'Abate got his nickname. Dismas|(talk) 06:54, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Howard Stern prank calls are an acquired taste, but I'd say much of the appeal lies in the phone callers' attempts at surreal humor and culture jamming. Also, getting through on one of these shows practically guarantees the prankster an additional 15 minutes of fame, since Stern will almost certainly play the call the next day on his show, with no small amount of glee at the squirming victim (generally a radio show host much less talented than Stern himself). As you can see, I am biased. Long live Captain Janks!--The Fat Man Who Never Came Back (talk) 03:53, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] USA TOP 40 CHART

i usually listen to rickdes (i don't know if thats the correct way to spell it) top 40 chart from USA,i am myself in Africa but the thing is,they keep on repeating old songs, does that show reflect what is actually happening in USA? because i tend to differ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.220.120.202 (talk) 10:13, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

The DJ you are listening to is Rick Dees. It is quite possible that the station you are listening to is repeating old broadcasts. You might want to check out the links in the Rick Dees article for more information, and possibly you may be able to listen to a streaming or podcast version of the show. --LarryMac | Talk 15:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Also, US top 100 songs are charted weekly in Billboard Magazine. Here's the link: [7]. Hint: If your top 40 station is playing Pat Boone, it's a bit out of date. StuRat (talk) 03:38, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AMERICAN SEALS PHOTOS

where could i access photos of the American seals team either in combat or in training?i would most definitely appreciate.thanks in advance —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.220.120.202 (talk) 10:25, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I would imagine that a Google image search for "Navy Seals" would return a slew of results. --LarryMac | Talk 15:51, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
We have an entire gallery of such images over at Commons.--The Fat Man Who Never Came Back (talk) 03:59, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
And, in case you're interested, here's a British Seal. StuRat (talk) 03:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Stage Management - Backstreet Boys

Does anyone know where you can find information about who is Backstreet boys' Stage management for the unbreakable tour 2008? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.16.228.112 (talk) 14:33, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I can only get for the Never Gone Tour in 06[8] – if you mean stage manager, it's Bob "Hydro" Mullin for that. Scroll for links to the fansites. Julia Rossi (talk) 09:48, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
