[edit] October 20
[edit] Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?
Well, obviously you do.... but I'd like to know who plays bass on this classic? DuncanHill 00:00, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Phil Chen interview with chen in 2005 81.79.75.108 00:04, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent, thank you! DuncanHill 00:06, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] art in heroes
who does the art in heroes? i mean which real-world artist is responsible for the issac's paintings? i looked on the wikipedia page and the heroes website but couldn't find out. thanks 81.96.160.171 01:19, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- A chap called Tim Sale, the series’ artistic consultant. [1] Rockpocket 02:05, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Jeph Loeb is a writer and producer on the show and they have worked a lot together (check out the Batman series). It sucks a bit that in the 1st episode of the 2nd series 'wanted' posters on the walls in mexico feature drawings of fugitives that look like they've been drawn by Isaac. Surely they could have asked someone else for that job. Keria 14:25, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] songs with radio station dial effect
i'm looking for the names of any songs that have the sound of someone tuning the dial on a radio to different stations. but it has to be before or after the song so there's no music during it....or if anyone has that sound effect i'd appreciate it. Illzcolorado 02:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- For a modest price: [2][3] Apparently free: [4] (Obviously you should be careful when downloading files from an unknown source, though) Rockpocket 02:42, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
There's always this one: [5] — Michael J 03:27, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thinking about what I have that has this effect...a song by Nine Days called 257 Weeks has the radio station tuning effect. I think that Sonny & Cher I Got You Babe might - though I can't hear that song without thinking of Groundhog Day. Skee-lo with 'I Wish' - a song about how he wishes he was a little bit taller, wishes he was a baller, wish he had a girl if he did he would call her... I'm sure I have others (it seems to be a common style) but they are the ones I can think of from the top of my head. ny156uk 11:08, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" has this effect right at the beginning. Dismas|(talk) 12:51, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- As does Daft Punk's Homework. Froglars the frog 18:16, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- The Way by Fastball, I Am the Walrus by the Beatles...Mexican Radio by Wall of Voodoo, probably. Adam Bishop 03:35, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Detroit Rock City by Kiss--hotclaws 08:48, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

- "I Am The Greatest" by A House has a good minute or so of this at the end. Though surely if you want the sound effect it's not that hard to just make your own? -88.109.95.39 10:22, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] cartoon show
What is the name of the cartoon show that used be shown on Global TV (Canada) and it was a group of kids keeping a mysterious little monster who would eat everything? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.53.137 (talk) 02:26, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- My Pet Monster. It's Monsteriffic! Incidentally, you will probably recognize a lot of voices from other Canadian (or Canadian produced) series. Alyson Court, the voice of Jill, was also Lydia on the cartoon Beetlejuice, Jubilee in the X-Men cartoon, and Loonette on The Big Comfy Couch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adam Bishop (talk • contribs) 03:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Name a band or Group.
In the opening scene of the Wesley Snipes film, The Art of War there is a group of female musicians playing string instruments. I believe it is the same group of ladies who played for a TV advertisement for Aquos flat screen TV's that was shown heavily during the 2006 world cup football competition. I am having no luck finding the name of that group to see if they have any cd'd. can you help with this enquiry please? shogun073 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shogun073 (talk • contribs) 13:20, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Could be bond, an all-female Australian-British string quartet. --Canley 02:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Bond led me to Amazon's also bought list which led me to 12 Girls Group. This is who I was looking for. shogun073 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shogun073 (talk • contribs) 13:40, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Full House song
There is a song called "Michelle's Smiling" from Full House that Jesse sings to Michelle. When I heard it a couple of days ago, it sounded really familiar, but I wasn't even born when the episode first aired, and although I've seen a few Full House episodes later on, both as a toddler and later as a teenager, I don't think that's where I remember that song from. It struck me really strongly when I heard it, too. So my question is-- Does anyone know if that song was ever notably used or heard in any other context besides on the show, that could explain where else I may have heard it? Otherwise, I guess I'm just subconsciously remembering it from Full House itself when I was really, really little. :) 17:16, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- I remember that song! It was from one of the first episodes. Michelle is still an infant, and Jesse still lives in what later becomes her room. She's lying on the bed drinking a bottle and he plays the song for her while sporting a red shirt, black vest, and the most kickin-ass mullet of all time. I have no idea which episode, but I garuntee it happened in the first season. Beekone 13:26, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
No, I know what episode it's from. I'm wondering if it was ever notably heard anywhere ELSE. But I'm glad somebody answered me... after like four days! Even if it wasn't the answer I was looking for. Thanks anyway. (By the way, can I assume the lack of answer means it WASN'T ever used anywhere else...?) 16:24, 23 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.162.146.86 (talk)
- I see what you're saying, but I doubt it was used anywhere else. I think that song he wrote for Rebecca was used elsewhere though. What was the name of that cheese-oid song? Beekone 17:00, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Okay, thanks anyway! I guess it must just be my memory working without informing the rest of my brain! :) 21:00, 23 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.162.146.86 (talk)
