[edit] Is watching korean dramas beneficial to us?

For example, do they develop us emotionally, mentally, etc? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.74.134.120 (talk) 06:18, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Well no more or less so than any other drama. Of course good drama is beneficial to 'us'. It makes you aware of difficult decisions, gives you opportunity to see into the mind of others, provides entertainment, would increase your vocabulary (plausibly) and would provide a bit of tension/excitement - maybe even getting your heart-rate up and doing you some good that way too! To be honest the impact is probably not huge but it surely won't harm you. ny156uk 18:05, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Korean dramas may also provide a glimpse into Korean culture that Westerners might not otherwise get. NeonMerlin 20:03, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
and i also suggest Oldboy, brilliant Korean drama/thriller. West Brom 4ever 21:33, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jack Bauer spotted in DC

On Saturday, cast and crew of 24 was in town, filming for next season. I managed to get some pictures, from the nearby streetcorner. Wanted to get closer, but they said no :( But I have this picture of Jack Bauer posted on Flickr. It's a crop of a larger picture, so unfortunately not available in higher resolution.

That said, Kiefer Sutherland is standing next to somebody. I think it's likely that he is Carlos Bernard (Tony Almeida), but not sure enough to label the picture as such. Can anyone more familiar with the show (than myself) weigh in on this? Also, when I get around to it, I am willing to upload this or other pictures from Saturday for use on Wikipedia. --Aude (talk) 20:00, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I think I have the answer, with enough certainty. That is Carlos Bernard. --Aude (talk) 00:32, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Tony died, didn't he? Zain Ebrahim 11:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm not saying. Some people care about spoilers. Anyway, if you read about the new season, you'd know he'd be back. - 131.211.175.100 12:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please Name This Movie

Moved from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Films.

I was just wondering if anyone remembered the title of this 80's movie where a Princess from the middle ages was cursed into a statue then revived by some schmo in the present day. Thanks to anyone who can help. Nintenboy01 23:32, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Only one I can think which fits is Mannequin, though she was Egyptian. And, er, a mannequin. Liquidfinale (Ţ) (Ç) (Ŵ) 23:45, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
It could also be Mannequin: On the Move. IrishGuy talk 01:18, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks guys. It turns out it was Mannequin: On the Move after all. Nintenboy01 14:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
