[edit] Movie budget vs. box office results
Can someone please refer me to a website that shows the budgets and box office results for all recent major motion pictures? I want to see which movies were the most profitable.--The Fat Man Who Never Came Back 02:49, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- Try the Internet Movie Database at www.IMDb.com -- for each movie, they have a link entitled "box office/business." (JosephASpadaro 04:23, 30 June 2007 (UTC))
- Also, see the Wikipedia article List of highest-grossing films, which presents a lot of the information you are seeking and lists other references and links at the bottom of the article. (JosephASpadaro 04:26, 30 June 2007 (UTC))
- imdb also gives a list of all-time grosses, with an indicator of the recent films. It appears that Spider-Man 3, of recent releases, is the highest-grossing, in 15th place all-time. Corvus cornix 19:52, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- I just realized that that link is for USA grosses only. Non-US grosses are here, with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End number 8. Corvus cornix 19:54, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
I recommend Box Office Mojo. It's easier to navigate, since it doesn't have the rest of the content that IMDb does. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 13:58, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Follow-up to benefit concert article
In the benefit concert article, there's nothing mentioned on the ones for the Indian Ocean tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, and the upcoming Concert for Diana. If someone can work on changing that, that would be beneficial to users.72.229.130.76 05:02, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- The purpose of the article is to describe and illustrate what a benefit concert is. It includea "a list of benefit concerts that were especially notable or influential". If you think your suggestions qualify, you can add them yourself or suggest them on the article's talk page.--Shantavira|feed me 08:28, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
