Does anyone know for sure what Jodie Foster's character name was in Taxi Driver? Was it Iris Steensma or Iris Steensman? I seem to be finding both names in various reputable sources. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 00:06, 31 December 2007 (UTC))

The Google hits for Iris Steensma are some 2,600 (English and German); for Iris Steensman about 90. This would indicate that the former name "Steensma" is the correct option. --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 00:51, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
PS: After futher googling: "Steen" is a derivate of stone (from Old Norse, as in Ingemar Stenmark, the Swedish skiier), -ma is a Friesian suffix denoting the person belongs to the preceding clan of the Steens. --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 03:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
PPS: The site mentions there was a wave of emigrants from Friesland to the USA around 1900, mostly to Michigan. Quite a few Steenmas still live in Detroit and other places. The IMDb website lists "Steensma" and the official Academy Awards website lists "Steensman". Both of those being reputable (particularly the Academy) is what prompted my original question. And, no, I don't have this DVD. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 01:51, 1 January 2008 (UTC))

[edit] Ipod Trouble

This happened to me as well. I went to the nearest Apple Store and received assistance from their Genius Bar--n1yaNt(~Cpt. Obvious~) 05:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Somewhere in the iTunes preferences (under iPod) there is an option called something like "Manually manage songs and playlists". Checking that box should solve your problem. --Richardrj talk email 10:39, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I have seen it speculated that the animators could not make a model with eight legs look right. This sounds plausible, especially since some of the illustrations in the Sleipnir page have the legs plaited together. It looks great in a static picture but might be tricky to animate! On the other hand there are apparently depictions of six-, seven- and eight-legged horses that are conventionally identified as Sleipnir. [2] SaundersW (talk) 14:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

That character that left did not get his acting contract renewed so the screenwriters are forced to remove him/her from the plot. --'n1yaNt 14:35, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

There was this first person puzzle game, where you were the only crew member on a LARGE spaceship, i forgot the name of it...it was for PC and it was pretty cool, i was young so i didn't get the plot, i think the captain ordered the lot of the crew to crash a small ship into the enemy to save the ship...i remember the first puzzle you had to seal a hole in the ship, it was in a room, you sprayed it, then put some sort of "bandage" over it...what was the name of that game! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.208.178.245 (talk) 20:08, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

You use the 'search' function on the left-side of the page...surprisingly enough. It returns the actress Bevin Kaye as someone 'who got naked'. It looks like this site is a pay-site so you'd need to pay to get to the clip you want, but i'm sure with the name and some time on your hands you could track this down for free using google. ny156uk (talk) 20:01, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
