I created this for footnotes that begin with A, specifically for "Assasinated" on the List_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States, because often a footnote is more useable if it is a mneumonic rather than just a number. It was called Ref A to keep it in line with templates such as Ref 1. I'm also creating similar templates for Ref I, Ref D, and Ref R. --Tox 20:14, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
