"Convex lenses are lenses that are thicker on the outside compared to the middle"...huh? I think it should be the other way around, such as: Convex lenses are lenses that are thicker in the middle compared to the outside.

[edit] correct way to mount a lens??

Lenses are sometimes concave on one side and convex on the other or the other way.What is the correct way to mount such a lens?Which side should be facing the eye(in case of eyepiece) or the object(in case of objective)????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.50.192.183 (talk) 07:00, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
