[edit] Is this image really PD?

This image is, according to the image's page, in the public domain. However, it clearly has been photographed or scanned from a printed book. The reflective glare at the bottom right of the image, and change in tone at the top right indicate the curve of the printed surface. For this reason I doubt if it really is a PD photo.
