World Won't Wait EP - deletion?
Hi Chris,
I wonder if you can help. I think you may have proposed an item for deletion - the 'World Won't Wait EP' by the folk band 'Handshake'. Do you know how I can change the page so that it doesn't appear to be 'from a non-notable band' or something like that. The EP has been commercially released and is available for download on iTunes, if that helps.
I'm new to wikipedia, so go easy!

AfD nomination of Tony Profaci
I have nominated Tony Profaci, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tony Profaci. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Charlie Brown Kwanzaa
In view of your concern on the content of this article, I updated "A Charlie Brown Kwanzaa" to explain its significance as a viral video and politically incorrect cult movie. While the humor in that film leaves a lot to be desired, its popularity and visibility would suggest it deserves to be included here. Thanks. Ecoleetage (talk) 02:49, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ooops... I thought it was a Charlie Brown Christmas... my bad :) --Alisyntalk 03:58, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of 'Writing To Instruct'
Even though i am clear about wikipedia not being a guide i am not sure why you have put it for delteion under 'wikipedia is not a dictionary' because it isn't a dictionary its helping people learn how to use writing techniques. Thats another reason i think it should stay up. I think it should stay up as it is helping people remember what should be included in wrting techniques.

Hi I agree with your speedy deletion notice on this article but not the reasoning. I think it would have come under the transwikification criteria for deletion. Dewster (talk) 16:41, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of TeXTree
I'd like to ask not to delete this page. IT currently contains no new data but if you check the history you'll notice I only started working on it several minutes ago. I'm trying to compile a useful overview (either chart or timeline like) of the various TeX distributions, packages and the like. I'm starting of with links to existing pages to be able to get a feeling of what's already in wikipedia and to be able to tie the page in properly if it becomes useful. Using the Sandbox for this didn't seem appropriate.

Westar Institute
Not to be difficult or anything, but the last line of the first 'graf is: "It is best known as the sponsoring organization of the Jesus Seminar." That is a statement of notability. Mangoe (talk) 22:33, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Break A Leg (sitcom)
I find it a very unusual coincidence that the creator of the article, User:Jargonovsky (possibly a combination of Jargon and Novsky) and the creators of the series, Yuri Baranovsky and Vlad Baranovsky (whom are also the directors) last names end in 'novsky'. Mkdwtalk 09:09, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but on Wikipedia as a reviewer it is your responsibility to the community to investigate all aspects of a AfD. User:Jargonovsky only contribution to Wikipedia has been to the article Break a Leg (sitcom). If you're suggesting that pointing out the obvious fact that a single purpose editor has come to Wikipedia to write and create an article about a non-notable webisode and has a matching name to the creators and directors of that very same article and that this point should be completely discredited because many Russian people have last names ending in novsky. I also advise you to not discourage people from using common-sense on reviews especially when the relative evidence is quite apparent. Mkdwtalk 09:18, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

McDermott disambiguation page
I thought this was an easy, open-and-shut proposal but I now see it won't be. (I guess there is no such thing as a small thing in Wikipedia!) Could you please explain why you deleted the proposal to Delete the James McDermott disambiguation page, instead of contributing your opinion to the Talk Page? i may be wrong but wouldn't this be following relevant Wiki policy? -The Gnome (talk) 12:49, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing out the attributes of a PROD. Onwards to the beef. You gave this, as your reason for wanting the entry to stay up : "It serves a purpose for those who are looking only for James McDermott". So, tough luck on anyone who only remembers "McDermott, blackjack or something" ? -The Gnome (talk) 22:01, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
My "Viewers Like You" AfD nom--thanks!
Thanks for cleaning up my nomination...I created it via Twinkle, and for whatever reason, Twinkle missed something (it did this on another of my noms, as well.) Not sure why...Gladys J Cortez 18:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I went back and re-wrote the nom, as best I could remember it--I liked my first version better, though. Stoopid Twinkle...next time I'm gonna copy-paste my rationale before I hit "go". Thanks again! Gladys J Cortez 18:12, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Degrassi: The Next Generation
Hi Redfarmer. I've completed your suggestions regarding the Good Article review for Degrassi: The Next Generation that you left on the article's talk page and the follow-up comments on mine.
The only thing I haven't done is the table of cast members. I tried it out in my sandbox, but there's still so many additions in the seasons that the table ended up being larger than the space the prose was taking up. Instead I removed all remarks about recurring characters, which reduced a lot of the prose. Now there is just information about main cast, and departures. Do I now have to relist this at GA, or would you be able to re-review it without that? -- Matthew | talk | Contribs 06:31, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Deletion of Wendy Phua article
hi, may I ask why was the article I was creating entitled "Wendy Phua" deleted? It was incomplete because I was still expanding the article and I never had a chance to finish writing it. This person is an up and coming musician in Singapore who is worth mentioning because of her unique approach towards bass playing. Kindly explain your reasons for the deletion. Speedy deletion: Lagartoazul.jpg
I guess you noticed my request for deletion of above photo (as noted on the user Koven.rm's talk pager), and considered it valid for speedy deletion. While I agree entirely, I should mention that the photo you refer to in your request for speedy deletion is wrong; it is the second (not first) photo found further down the page here (direct link to that photo here). Just in case you wonder why I changed the URL indicated in the speedy deletion request below the photo. Cheers, Rabo3 (talk) 19:19, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
PROD'ing
Please do not prod articles marked as "under construction." Take the time to read the templates on a page, if you're going to take the time to add your own. --Cheeser1 (talk) 07:03, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Left message on user's page as politely as I could explaining that "under construction" is not a bypass for deletion. Redfarmer (talk) 11:14, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
"Dr Bellows"
Hi, Red. IMO, the character isn't exactly non-notable. He was Maj. Nelson's main foil throughout the run of the show. The article in its current form is not only improperly titled, but rife with a few errors. I agree that it shouldn't stay in it current form, but again, the character is more than notable. NPP is a tough row to hoe; keep up the good work! :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:39, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Lombardi Software
Hello. Earlier you put a deletion on Lombardi Software. I contested it and cleaned it up because of it's significance in the BPM industry. I believe you agreed with me and removed the deletion tag. However User:Excariver has placed the tag on again. Is there a way to come to a final conclusion and not have to keep reiterating this? Thanks for the help. (Saw it on WP:AIV) - Poo brown. appears to have been a good-faith attempt to create an article. This is what happens when you bite the newbies. —Random832 17:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of the prior username (it's also not clear it's the same user; it's not the same article content, though the timing does indicate they are possibly related), but it's worth noting that from my experience with CAT:CSD that new users often don't know what to do with {{hangon}}. Anyway, it (another recreation) is up on AFD now, and that should settle this. —Random832 17:17, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
What the Buck
Thanks for adding the prod tag to What the Buck. I deleted the article, but then undeleted based on his request on my talk page. I just wanted to give the user a chance to try to establish notability, but the prod tag is a good way of dealing with the possibility that I forget to check back again to see what changes were made. :) -- Ed (Edgar181) 00:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. I figured that way, no harm would come if they didn't establish notability. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 00:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Weapons of Resident Evil 4
If possible, could you just withdraw that for AfD now? Seeing as it does have some valid content now, a merge is the most appropriate way to deal with it. Merge tags are the way to go for that to happen. TTN (talk) 21:36, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:User:Last of the Summer Wine
A tag has been placed on Template:User:Last of the Summer Wine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Marcus Turner speedy deletion and good faith.
Hi from Koro Neil.
I didn't question your good faith, Redfarmer. I'm sorry if it seemed that way. Your good faith wasn't the issue. I had no doubt that you thought your action appropriate, but in fact it wasn't, and I found it galling to have an article tagged for speedy deletion when I had only just started writing it! I was checking for Marcus's home page—he doesn't have one—and had discovered that the nefc (New Edinburgh Folk Club) and kiwifolk pages were sketchier than I expected. This is less surprising than it may seem, as followers of folk music in New Zealand are very well acquainted with him and his music, and the folk culture is inclined to promote itself on a much more person to person basis than other forms of entertainment. (Virtually all the folk CDs I own, of Australian and British performers as well as New Zealand ones, I have bought off the performers, not from record shops.)
The information I have now added to the page has mostly come from a Brisbane website, Brisbane being in Australia, on the other side of the Tasman Sea. I will add more as I find it, favouring non-Dunedin sources (Marcus lives in Dunedin) as much as possible. This will include external links.
As far as good faith goes, I think tagging a page for speedy deletion less than a day after its creation, let alone 6 minutes, can hardly be called "assuming good faith". Perhaps I need to put in a little rider to my articles when I begin them, stating that they have only just been created, but will be expanded very soon.
As for your welcome, thank you, but in fact I've been around a little longer than my Koro Neil contribution list indicates. As I explain on my User page, I was formerly Copey 2. The year's gap was my time without a computer.

Red-faced Postscript
Just realised I hadn't saved my later (small) expansion of the article, made after your original notification, but before my communication above. That is now sorted. As I say, more to come.
Incidentally, I note that most of your contributions (on your most recent page) consist of deletion requests. Should I be disturbed at this? Koro Neil (talk) 13:26, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

RMHCSC Ronald McDonald House Charities Southern California
Hi, I created a article to increase the awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Southern California. I am not quite sure what is the reason for the page delete. I know there is an article regarding RMHC, can we at least add the RMHCSC link to the main site? Do you have any suggestions?
