[edit] My RFA
If that were the case, I would consider Who's RFA to be better, but I have 76/1/1. :). →Journalist >>talk<< 00:10, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- Ah. When I looked at your note at essjay's page, you were 73. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:11, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
I anticipate Acetic Acid's RFA. I predict he will make it the top 5 (or higher) :) →Journalist >>talk<< 00:18, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- He's a great guy, but not 100% sure about that, people like Erwin Walsh seem to hate him.
- by the way, I think just for interest's sake I'll run an RfB on October 10th, my halfbirthday for wiki (april20th is my first edit). I know I won't pass but I wanna see how I do. And I'll try to combat this whole 'been here for a year' thing... Redwolf24 (talk) 00:21, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Well, you probably would win, no kidding. You are well respected, and you also hold many high posts. I think you could pull it off. →Journalist >>talk<< 00:44, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- That made me feel warm inside, really, but people care too much about time. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:52, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Re: ESP News
Matt, Esperanza has soundly rejected my ideas, in other words they don't want to go in the direction I would lead them. Your concern is appreciated, but please remember that we are talking about an organization that rejected my orginal idea and subequently my proposed compromise. Leaders are chosen for their ideas; my ideas have been rejected, not once by Esperanza, but twice and in so doing rejected me as its leader. Its is simply not pratical, and possibly even unethical for me to take the lead of an organization that has twice sidelined my agenda. Besides Esperanza needs a leader that is upbeat and optimisic about its prospects, I'm still recovering from seeing a tolerant community crush a cherished idea; and while that is already forgiven, it will never be forgotten and subsequently be sometime before I trust the community as a whole again. If you are overburdened, might I suggest you try you entice Essjay, I believe he would meet the qualifications for the job perfectly. Thanks. -JCarriker 03:30, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- Do you think Washington or Lincoln always had the country agree with them? I'm sure there were times when they feared the country was gonna crash altogether. Regardless, both were elected to second terms, and were we to run an election, you would win by a landslide. Redwolf24 (talk) 03:33, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- If I were Admin Gen, the first thing I would do would be make the ESP main page more navigable. The second would be to reinstate the provisional government. Do you really think that would be accepted? I don't. -JCarriker 03:51, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- ...err I guess you have a point :-/ Redwolf24 (talk) 03:54, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- Actually I have two, point you got the second one but not the first. Please remove the subpages from the main page, the idea of a subpage is to not clog up the main page, so having most of the subpages displayed on the main page is kind of a self-defeating purpose. -JCarriker 04:09, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

One more thing. Most of my work took place before I was a mediator, and many o those consultations were and are private, but for an open informal example of a mediation I began on my own initative, see Talk:Eleanor Roosevelt#Some notes. -JCarriker 05:06, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] gotta love anons
LOL, I copyedited Mirmo! a while back. That thing has SOOO many links - there has to be something like 50 there. If you think that's bad I already removed like 30 more, as there were links pointing to like every manga and colorbook available for it. The funny part is that I put sectcleanup on there with a usual WP:NOT a link farm statement, only to see the anon remove that and ONE link. LOL. Ryan Norton T | @ | C 07:22, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

Anyways why is your email disabled? I'm not a fan of that for a mediator. :-/ Redwolf24 (talk) 19:24, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- Actually, I just temporarily disabled my email because there was a crazed guy making legal threats and mail-bombing everyone in sight, and since I was the one who protected the page he was angry about (Jack Sarfatti), I disabled my email just to be safe. I think it's safe to re-enable now, and I've done so. Thanks for reminding me, though! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk | WS 19:34, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Deleted user page restoration
Can you do me a favor and restore my user page and talk page? I requested they be deleted becasue I had grown entirely frustrated with the fancruft polluting the project (and thus undermining the well-intentioned contributions of others). But I've decided to just, against my better judgement, ignore it and keep working with the editors who want to help improve the Wikipedia. My talk page can be restored ot whatever the last edit was, but could you restore the user page to the edit from 12:55, 24 September 2005 (which I still need to edit again anyways)? Thanks. --FuriousFreddy 23:42, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] How was your birthday?
Hope you had a happy birthday during the last two days ago. So you are 15 years old, that young? I have said happy birthday to you on your birthday on your talk page, in-case you didn't see it because I know there are a lot of people sending you complaints and other sorts of things. -- Mike Garcia | talk 00:28, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- I saw it, and I appreciate it. Sorry I didn't reply, but there was about 40 happy birthday comments :P Redwolf24 (talk) 02:31, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

- Since, I've yet to see you confirm the 15 year old thing, I'm inclined to believe its just a mistake inspired by someone counting the candles on a stock cake borrowed from birthday. So how about it, are you really that young? You know, I bet you aren't even red OR a wolf either. I do hope you enjoyed your birthday though. Dragons flight 05:21, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

- Oh well then. It is interesting how the project to organize all the world's knowledge is falling, in no small part, to children that most of the world would hardly ever take seriously in real life. Keep up the good work. Dragons flight 02:17, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Hi RedWolf, i just want to say sorry for those picture copyright violations, i'm still getting used to having to state copyright details for pictures. And i'm sorry I simply posted copied text. [edit] WP protection or My sentence?
I posted this earlier, but it was most likely lost in the barrage of birthday wishes that immediately followed. Here it is again. I realize I can't do anything to prevent it, but I hope we can have this conversation without Taxman involvement. For whatever reason, he and I don't communicate well.
As you are now my "mentor," would you explain to me the reasoning for my "privilege" to link to my online articles being revoked? I haven't seen much in the way of explanation, just promised to ban me if I don't obey. Why would such links from my user page be bad for WP? Or, is the privilege removal meant more as negative reinforcement for me, rather than an attempt to protect WP? If that is the case, what are the terms of my sentence? Uriah923 18:51, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Links to articles you've written is fine, but did any of them involve the phrase ON in any incarnation? If so, then that's your problem. Redwolf24 (talk) 18:53, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

What are you future plans for Esperanza at the moment? --HappyCamper 21:15, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] I need a second opinion.
Are these articles (Category:Glitter characters) neccessary? i've had serious problems with these users and Mariah Carey fancruft. Being that Glitter is only a minor film, do its characters warrant articles of their own, or should they be merged someplace? --FuriousFreddy 22:31, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- Bleh, that IS crufty. We definitely have too much Ashlee Simpson and Mariah Carrey cruft. Way too much. However, the category isn't hurting anyone. If you want to merge the characters to the main movie, feel free (but only if each character's page is short) after being merged the category could be deleted.
