I'd like it if they'd serve the burgers on plates rather than baskets -- either that or cut back on the gobs of mayo they put on them. THEY PUT MAYO ON ALMOST EVERYTHING. Even the BBQ burger. WTF???

RESPONSE: Know whats great about red robin? You can ask for your burger to be put on a plate, you can ask for easy mayo and HEY! you can even still get the peppercorn burger, with chipotle mayo instead. Imagine That. Strike that, Peppercorn burger was reintroduced Monday, April 16th. All you gotta do is ask.

Just like every restaurant, you can ask for an item without something. Everything at RR is made fresh. It's like fast food in a sit-down restaurant. Just a hint, if you get the basic cheeseburger, it comes with the Big 6, which is Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Onions, and Red Pickle Relish. The relish is not very good and a lot of people end up not eating the bottom bun of the burger because of it. So be sure to ask for your burger without it if you don't like relish.

Does a statement similar to this belong in the article somewhere?

Those considering purchasing Red Robin gift cards through the site should be aware that their credit card information is apparently not encrypted during transmission and may be exposed to hackers. See How can I tell if a web page is secure?.

I think I see what's going on, the following sequence under Firefox should reproduce the problem. There are probably other sequences that will cause the problem. Ordering seems to work correctly if the process is not interrupted, at least for the first order.
  1. Disable all Firefox add-ons
  2. Clear cache, remove cookies to start clean
  3. Open several Firefox windows so that closing window in step 6 will not end Firefox
  4. Enter 'www.redrobin.com' (be sure to use 'www'), get http://www.redrobin.com/ (correct)
  5. Click on 'Gift Cards', get https://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/default.aspx (correct, 'S' = secure)
  6. Customer gets distracted or decides he want to think about it, closes the window
  7. Customer opens new window
  8. Enter 'www.redrobin.com' (be sure to use 'www'), get http://www.redrobin.com/ (correct)
  9. Click on 'Gift Cards', get http://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/? (no 'S' = not secure)
  10. Click on 'Continue' (no promotion code), get http://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/Default.aspx (not secure)
  11. Select one $10 gift card and click 'Add To Cart', get http://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/orderCart.aspx (not secure)
  12. Click 'Checkout', get http://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/orderCart.aspx (not secure)
  13. At this point if the customer fills in the billing information form and hits 'Continue', the data including his credit card number is sent unencrypted.
Ordering seems to work correctly if the process is not interrupted. I haven't checked to see if it is correct on subsequent orders. Hope this helps. It seems easy to fix (don't they all) and I hope someone from Red Robin is watching. Regards, CliffC 22:46, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

It's a year later and I just ordered some gift cards for a relative; I started by entering 'redrobin.com' (no www) and all went fine (using Firefox); my address bar showed an 'httpS' throughout once I clicked on 'gift cards'. So I re-tried the sequence above, keying in EXACTLY the values listed. Sorry, but this site is still screwed up. I got all the way through the process without seeing one secure httpS prefix. --CliffC (talk) 01:10, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Again, I've tried your exact sequence using both IE and Firefox on 3 different computers, and I was unable to recreate the problem on any of them. Calling the site "screwed up" is premature, since you seem o be the only person that's having this problem. Is it possible that a setting on your computer is causing the problem? Or a Firefox add-on? Sorry to have taken so long to get back here after my January 26 scenario updates, but there didn't seem to be any great urgency. I'll answer Jwinters's last question first, "have you contacted Red Robin instead of "hoping they watch" wikipedia?" Of course I have, I am not the sort of person who blows the whistle to commence looting as soon as they see a security exposure. When I spotted this one I filled out a problem report at the web site and received a tracking number. On November 14 2006 I wrote to relations@redrobin.com with subject line "Your insecure web site - sorry, I won't be buying a gift card this way!", included the problem tracking number, and asked them to pass my email on to their computer people. I heard nothing, nada, from Red Robin about either the problem report or the followup email.

Both my machines are virus-free, thank you, and the problem is reproducible on either one. I also asked a friend who I know can follow a test script scrupulously to try this one. His machine and mine have never been connected in any way, so contamination is not an issue. Here's what he said:

"Yep, the first one is ok, but after closing and opening the second time, the site address is http://www.etoolsengine.com/rrgiftcard/?
I'll bet they have a session cookie that they think is still valid, they're not testing between every step....
And it's never secure again, all the way to the credit card step....
AND even if you open IE after this point, it also exhibits the same non-secure behavior, although the static text helpfully says "This site chose VeriSign SSL for secure e-commerce and confidential communications.""

I've spent more time on this than I ever planned to, so now I'll leave it alone and hope for the best, but I'll be watching closely when I order my gift certificates next Christmas. --CliffC (talk) 18:39, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

If you look at chili's wiki, they have trivia, yet when I try and add RR trivia, it gets labeled as "advertising." I find their mottos, trivia and training procedures very informative. Why is this so?
