[edit] "All volunteers"?

This seems a strange phrase. What would be the alternative: that they were forced into it?? Incidentally, the last couple of sentences are teetering on the edge of POV; true they may be, but that doesn't make them encyclopedic. Loganberry (Talk) 01:53, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
